This page is maintained by Aovigo to explain plainly how the service works. It is a starting draft you should have reviewed by a lawyer.
Aovigo is a travel marketplace: scheduled road trips from independent drivers and transport businesses, rental cars, stays and bundled packages. Aovigo does not operate vehicles, does not rent out properties and is not a carrier — operators and hosts are responsible for what they offer.
You must be 18 or older and provide accurate information. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity on your account.
One Aovigo account is enough: you can apply from your profile to become a driver, host or business. Those roles are reviewed by our team before they are activated.
A booking is confirmed when payment is accepted and a ticket or confirmation is issued. Trips are priced per seat, cars per day, stays per night, and packages as a bundle.
A 1% Aovigo service fee is added to what the buyer pays (see section 12).
Card payments are processed by our payment provider. Mobile money methods may be subject to the operator's own terms.
Trips: full refund up to 24 hours before departure, 50% up to 2 hours before, unless the trip page states otherwise.
Cars, stays and packages: the cancellation policy chosen by the host (flexible, moderate or strict) is shown on each listing before payment and applies to your booking.
If a driver or host cancels, you are refunded in full, including the service fee.
Operators and hosts must submit identity and, depending on the activity, licence or registration, insurance and real photos. Account verification happens once; each additional car or stay is then reviewed on its own before it goes live.
You must have the right to offer the vehicle or property you list, describe amenities honestly, and honour the bookings you accept.
A valid payout method must be saved before you can publish. Payouts are released after the trip or stay, on the schedule shown in your dashboard.
Be on time at the meeting point, respect trip or house rules and the people around you. Damage may be charged by the host.
In-app messaging is for arranging a booking. Harassment, fraud, illegal content and attempts to move payment off the platform are prohibited and can lead to account suspension.
Aovigo points and tiers are earned on paid bookings and have no cash value. They may be adjusted or removed when a booking is cancelled or refunded, or in case of abuse.
To the extent permitted by law, Aovigo is not liable for delays, loss or damage arising from the trip, rental or stay itself. Your primary recourse is with the operator or host.

On-demand rides (Moto, Standard, Comfort, Van) are matched to the nearest available driver. The fare is estimated before you confirm, based on distance and ride type.
Once a ride is accepted, driver and passenger can call and text each other. Your exact pickup position is shared with the driver for the duration of the ride.
Senders must describe contents honestly. Prohibited items (listed in the app) are refused. Funds may be held until delivery is confirmed with the handover code.
The Aovigo wallet can be topped up by mobile money or in cash at an Aovigo location, in the currencies offered. Refunds are credited to the wallet.
Rides and bookings can be paid in cash, by wallet or with a saved card. A 1% Aovigo fee applies to the customer, and 1% to the driver, host or owner; for cash payments the provider's share is taken from their wallet.
A business can run several vehicles and drivers. It remains responsible for its drivers, vehicles and their documents, and its 1% fees are taken from the business wallet.
